Chris Neff

Staley High School

Head Varsity Boys Basketball Coach at Staley High School just completed his 19th year as a head coach.  In those years of coaching at the varsity level he has compiled a 370-163 record.  Last season’s Staley team finished 30-2 and won the Class 6 State Championship.  Coach Neff has led the Staley Falcons to 3 Final Fours in the last 4 years.  Coach Neff led Lafayette High School to 6 district titles, 7 Conference championships, and 3 Final Four Appearances during his 9-year helm.  Coach Neff has had a role in developing boys’ and girls’ basketball players across the Midwest through a number of camps, clinics, and coaching opportunities including the MOKAN Organization.  As the head coach of the MOKAN 17U EYBL team, Coach Neff has coached in 3 Nike Peach Jam Invitationals where in 2018 they made it to the final four, and in 2019 they won the national championship!

Brett Reed

Hartville High School

Brett Reed has coached for 14 years compiling an overall record of 335-79.  His coaching career started at Summersville where he went 38-15, and has spent the last 12 years at Hartville compiling a record of 297-64.  In his 14 years of coaching he has 9 conference championships, 10 district championships, 4 Final Four berths, and 3 State Championships (2016, 2020, 2021).  He has won the Blue and Gold Tournament 2 times ( 2020,2021), and his 2021 team went undefeated 31-0 on the season.  In 2021 his team was invited to the Bass Pro Tournament of Champions as a Class 3 School.  The tournament was later named the Springfield Winter Classic due to Covid.  Hartville won this tournament beating Kickapoo (Class 6 State Champions), Greenwood, and Sunrise Christian KS.
